Schwind Amaris 1050RS

Excimer Laser Surgery and Presbyopia

The world’s fastest Excimer Laser that redefines refractive surgery. It brings together the most advanced technology available and offers unmatched speed, precision and safety for refractive and therapeutic corneal surgery.

It provides a variety of functions and can be used for all common ablation techniques: LASIK, FemtoLASIK, PRK, LASEK and TransPRK or Zero Touch.

It is designed for bi-aspheric multifocal ablation profiles. It can be used to treat emmetropia, myopia, hyperopia and astigmatism in patients with limited accommodative response.

How does it work?

Supports round, elliptical and single neutral refraction ablation profiles. Helps to plan safe and accurate corneal transplants for patients for whom perforating keratoplasty is indicated.

The modular SCHWIND CAM software facilitates optimal treatment planning for a wide range of applications in refractive and therapeutic corneal surgery. SCHWIND CAM takes into account all diagnostic data including corneal wavefront, ocular wavefront and pachymetry.

The modules are:
• ORK-CAM for refractive corneal surgery.
• PresbyMAX for the treatment of presbyopia.
• PTK-CAM for therapeutic corneal surgery.

The KPL (keratoplasty) option in PTK-CAM supports safe and accurate corneal transplants for patients for whom perforating keratoplasty is indicated.

Centurion Vision System with ACTIVE SENTRY

Cataract surgery

This equipment has been designed with advanced technology to improve safety and confidence during surgery with a very close to physiological IOP and improved chamber stability, even in the most complicated cases.

Active Fluidics technology with ACTIVE SENTRY handpiece, in case of occlusion breaking, the ACTIVE SENTRY handpiece works with QuickValve technology to provide real-time surge minimization ensuring the maintenance of a more uniform volume and IOP.

The irrigation pressure sensor directly on the handpiece detects changes in anterior chamber stability as they occur, providing unprecedented responsiveness as well as greater safety at every stage of surgery.

How does it work?

The ACTIVE SENTRY handpiece signals the CENTURION Vision System hardware and software that adjustments are needed to maintain a consistent IOP.

Active Fluidics technology uses compression plates to adjust the pressure in the BSS® sterile irrigating solution bag, compensating for changes in intraocular pressure.

Increasing patient comfort The CENTURION Vision System with the ACTIVE SENTRY handpiece allows surgeons to maintain lower pressure in the eye through improved surge reduction, increasing patient comfort during surgery.

The CENTURION Vision System also includes an IOP ramp feature, which allows for a progressive increase in the selected IOP to increase patient comfort.

Vitra 810

Laser glaucoma surgery

The Vitra 810 is a versatile, ergonomic and easy-to-use infrared laser with Single Spot and SubLiminal technologies that can be used for a variety of treatment purposes.

When used for glaucoma treatment, the Vitra 810 offers a new subthreshold cyclophotocoagulation treatment technique called SubCyclo, which is a promising laser treatment for patients with advanced and end-stage glaucoma.

Key features:
• 810 nm infrared wavelength for transscleral treatments
• SubLiminal subthreshold mode for tissue-sparing treatments
• SubCyclo non-destructive glaucoma laser technique improves uveoscleral outflow
• One laser: Two clinical applications (glaucoma and retinal treatments)

How does it work?

One simple and versatile laser: Fully portable and ideally sized for use in operating rooms and physician practices, the Vitra 810 is compatible with a variety of optical systems, including SubCyclo probes, slit lamps, microscopes, IOLs and retinal laser probes.

One laser probe: two glaucoma treatments: Quantel Medical’s laser probe is uniquely designed with a removable base that enables both SubLiminal and thermal treatment techniques.
